Marshall McDonald

 With a decade of experience at the firm, Marshall has worked on numerous projects across North America, involving a wide range of legal and technical issues. From multi-million-dollar disputes on multi-family commercial projects to disputes nearing a billion dollars on some of the largest infrastructure projects in North America, Marshall has a broad spectrum of experience to assist construction clients with overcoming all types of project challenges, including strategically and efficiently resolving disputes.

Biography

Marshall McDonald is a partner with Moye, O’Brien & Masterson, LLP and focuses his practice on the representation of contractors and design-builders on a wide range of issues. Marshall’s prior construction experience, including his Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the M. E. Rinker, Sr., School of Construction Management at the University of Florida, enables him to better analyze and address the technical issues that frequently arise in construction disputes. He is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and admitted to practice in Florida, California, New York, and the Law Society of Ontario (Canada).

Marshall primarily represents general contractors and design-builders throughout North America on mega infrastructure, transportation, and commercial projects from procurement through dispute resolution. Marshall has recently been engaged in representing a general contractor in developing and pursuing various disputes on a $220 million water treatment plant rehabilitation project in Orange County, California; representing a design-builder in developing and pursuing various disputes on a $2.5 billion light-rail public-private partnership project in Ontario, Canada; representing a general contractor in arbitrating disputes in excess of $10 million involving significant delays, non-payment and unapproved change order requests arising from the construction of a high-end senior living complex in Weston, Florida with a project value of over $80 million; and representing a design-builder in the development and pursuit of a delay and disruption claim on a $1.3 billion light-rail design-build project in Los Angeles, California.
