Nax Joye
Nax Joye is a board-certified construction lawyer that has been a key member of Moye, O’Brien & Masterson, LLP since 2018. With over a decade of experience in commercial construction, he specializes in representing contractors and design-build teams on complex, large-scale projects across the United States and internationally, spanning various construction sectors, including heavy civil, roadway, rail, vertical, and commercial projects.
His recent work includes representing major design-build contractors on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects. Notably, he helped secure the successful resolution of $115 million in claims against the owner of a $1.2 billion interstate project in Colorado and over $200 million in E&O and disruption claims against the designer. He currently performs a crucial role in the development and prosecution of both (i) an over $300 million claim stemming from E&O and disruption on a Canadian light-rail project, and (ii) an over $100 million claim against a designer on a $1.3 billion light-rail project in Los Angeles.

Biography
Nax Joye is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar, and he has been a part of the Moye, O’Brien & Masterson, LLP team since 2018. With a perspective formed from over a decade in commercial construction, his practice is primarily dedicated to the representation of contractors and design-build teams on complex projects, including numerous mega-projects, throughout the United States and internationally, spanning all segments and aspects of the construction industry (heavy civil, roadway, rail, vertical, commercial, etc.).
Nax’s recent work includes representing the design builder on a $1.2 billion interstate project in Colorado for the development, pursuit, and successful resolution of approximately $115 million of claims against the project owner and over $200 million in E&O and disruption claims against the designer. Nax is also involved in representing the design-builder in the pursuit of an E&O and disruption claim in excess of $300 million against a designer on a light-rail public-private partnership mega project in Ontario, Canada; representing the design-builder in developing, pursuing, and litigating more than $100 million of claims against the project’s designer on a $1.3 billion light-rail project in Los Angeles, California; representing the prime contractor to evaluate, develop, and pursue claims for hundreds of millions of dollars in extra work, design defects and delay against the project’s owner on a light rail construction mega project in Seattle, Washington; and representing the design-build contractor on a $1.5 billion dollar transit project in Washington State, to evaluate, develop, pursue, and resolve an E&O Claims in excess of $30 million against the designer.
