Dulles Corridor Metrorail (Silver Line)

Moye O’Brien represented the design-builder in developing and pursuing claims exceeding $420 million from the owner for project delays and project-wide disruption. The dispute arose from the expansion of the Silver Line, specifically Phase 2, which extended the rail system 11.4 miles west from Wiehle-Reston East Station, passing through Dulles International Airport and into Loudoun County, VA. The project included the design and construction of six new stations and the infrastructure to power the system. Five stations — Herndon, Innovation Center, Route 606, Route 772, and Ashburn — were built at ground level, while an aerial station at Dulles Airport was constructed adjacent to Parking Garage 1, which connected to the Main Terminal via an underground walkway.
